50 YEARS AGO THE BEATLES SET OFF A REVOLUTION OF LOVE

50 years ago The Beatles taught the world to sing "All You Need is Love" in the first worldwide satellite broadcast (June 1967). An old truth for a new age. If "God is Love" then what the Beatles proclaimed was just as true then as it is now. Love is the greatest thing.
In June 1967, for the first time in human history, 400 million people across the globe watched the same live TV show thanks to the power of satellite broadcasting. Find out how satellites have transformed our lives in our new Information Age gallery, opening 25 October 2014 http://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/informationage .
The Beatles set off on a world tour in the Summer of Love.
If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
