CASEY ANTHONY ACQUITTED

The nation has been in an uproar since the acquittal of Casey Anthony. Many people are outraged that she was not convicted of her daughter’s murder. They scream for justice. What they do not understand is that a conviction is impossible without concrete evidence. There was none. The only evidence against her was that she lied to police. For that, she will be punished.
I’m not going to assume I know what happened. I’m not going to say Casey did or did not murder or abuse her daughter, because I didn’t see what happened. I was not there. I will, however, say that she should not have lied. She shouldn’t have covered up Caylee’s death.
Assuming Caylee’s death was an accident, she should have reported it immediately. It is because of her cover up that she now appears so guilty to the nation. If she hadn’t lied and accepted whatever punishment she deserves, this nightmare would be over by now. She would have been able to move on with a clear conscience. She wouldn’t be in the whole nation’s spotlight with them demanding her head.
Proverbs 6:16-19: “There are six things the Lord hates — no, seven things he detests: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that kill the innocent, a heart that plots evil, feet that race to do wrong, a false witness who pours out lies, a person who sows discord in a family.” (NLT)
As for those who have such strong opinions on the matter, I warn you to be careful what you say. In God’s eyes, we are all evil doers and sinners undeserving of God’s grace. If Casey is truly guilty, she will see justice on the day of her judgment.
Don’t be so quick to demand she be stoned, because you will see your own Judgement Day. Focus less on Casey Anthony and more on your own indiscretions. Instead, show her the grace and love of Christ that is open to all and deserved by none.
John 8:7, “let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!” (NLT)
Not a single man cast a stone, because they all knew that they were sinners. So, do not cast stones at Casey. She is in God’s hands now. As are you.
