Only God should have the power to watch our every move.

Hebrews 4:13 says, “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.” (NLT)

BEWARE! Starting March 1, Google begins a new policy that allows them to monitor your browsing history while signed into your Google account. They claim the purpose is to better know users’ interests and preferences in order to offer them more personalized services.
Gizmodo reports, “things you could do in relative anonymity today, will be explicitly associated with your name, your face, your phone number come March 1st.” (as stated on
In a nutshell, they want to watch your every move so they know what marketers to throw at you. My question: how is this legal? But it is. There no hope in arguing the case, because absolute power corrupts absolutely .
There aren’t a lot of verses in the Bible about the issue of privacy, mostly because there were not a lot of means for privacy in those days. They certainly didn’t have computers or internet. So, we need to do the best with what we have. What we know is that Jesus spent a lot of time in solitude. He took as many opportunities as he could to escape the crowds to be alone and pray. The need for alone time and privacy is in our human nature. It was in Christ’s humanity.
Tomorrow, March 1, 2012, this policy take effect. Do yourself a favor. Follow the steps, and protect yourself. These people have NO RIGHT watching your every move. Only God can do that.
There are, however, easy steps we can take to protect ourselves from Google’s prying eyes.
  1. Sign out of your Google account before surfing the web. That is not as easy as it sounds. For instance, I do most of my research on Google while writing my blogs.

  2. Use other search engines. Even better, alternate between search engines to keep them guessing.

  3. In a more extreme measure, cancel your Google account entirely. (Who needs Google+ when Facebook rules social networking?)

  4. The last and best option: go into your Google settings and disable its ability to record your browsing habits. Simply follow the instructions on in the link listed under “Sources”. Click, “remove all history” and “pause”. Google won’t be able to record your browsing until you un-pause it. It literally took me two minutes to do.

Please sign the petition on and help put an end to Google’s impending reign of power. Only God should have that kind of power, because He uses it for the sake of our salvation. Google wants to use it for sales, for money, and for power.
