FRIENDS AND HEROES
The children’s series, Friends and Heroes, introduces their new album of music based on Bible stories from the first series. It includes the show’s new theme song, “Looking for a Hero”, and the title song, “What about Love?”
Using several styles of music, talented artists sing moving and inspirational songs about important themes such as Ester’s bravery, Daniel’s faith, and Peter’s hope. The songs’ lyrics can provide a positive and inspiring feeling in the hearts and minds of everyone who hears them, not only children.
Listening to these songs took me back to VBS and Sunday school when I was a child. I had always felt the most emotion and the closest to God through the worship music. It was exciting, encouraging and soothing (depending on the tone of the song). I am pleased to hear that children can have the same experience that I did. With the bonus album containing all the accompaniment tracks from every song, churches have the option to play sing-alongs and performances of their own.
The entire package is available either on CD or for download on the Friends and Heroes website. Also available for download are sheet music, song lyrics, and fun activities making full engagement with the music possible. I hope everyone has as much fun with this album as I have.
