MUST SEE OCTOBER SCARY MOVIES

Halloween is just a week away. The month of October is prime time for horror films. Plenty of great horror movies have hit the theaters in the past weeks. Here are three:

Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension

Opened October 23rd

The Paranormal Activity Franchise began as one simple horror flick and flourished into an epic franchise. The story follows a family that is being stalked by a demon named Toby after he is invited by a pagan coven to take their family next male progeny.

Now the story continues with the fifth (and final?) chapter in this franchise as it it follows sisters Katie and Kristi with a special camera that can see spirits. It promises a full explanation of the “paranormal activities” throughout the franchise.

The Last Witch Hunter

Opened October 23rd

Vin Diesel plays Kaudler, a man plagued with eternal life and struggling to find a purpose until a man recruits him for a very special job. To hunt witches. With the help of a priest and a witch, Kaudler then must risk his immortality to cross into a dark parallel dimension in order to prevent a league of powerful witches from invading Earth. This proves to be his greatest challenge yet. It promises to be a heart stopping thrill-ride with action, suspense, fantasy, drama, tragedy, and romance.

Crimson Peak

Opened October 16th

There is absolutely no doubt this is a horror film filled with ghosts, mysteries, and secrets. Sibling owners of Crimson Peak, Thomas and Lucille Sharpe, harbor a very dark secret. A secret that his rushed bride, Edith Cushing, becomes determined to figure out during her terrifying stay in Crimson Peak. It is hard to determine which is more scary: a house full of ghosts or the suspicious intentions between brother and sister.

The mystery behind this story is too compelling to pass up. Catch it while you can. I know I intend to.
