Philippians 2:3-4 - “Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.”

Strawberry Shortcake DVDs Berrywood, Here We Come and  The Glimmerberry Ball  are now available on DVD for children to enjoy and learn valuable lessons that strengthen their friendships, which include thinking about others, talking about your problems, working out compromises, and the importance of teamwork. As Strawberry Shortcake and her friends have their adventures, they encounter problems that they must solve in order to save the day.
In the Glimmerberry Ball , Strawberry Shortcake and her friends celebrate the First Frost by exchanging gifts. However, the givers only thought of a gift that they would like instead of what the receiver would like. This line of thinking led to some suspicion and hurt feelings. So, they thought of brand new gifts to give their friends, ones that the others would truly appreciate, which made them everyone feel better.
Then, they needed to find a place to hold the Glimmerberry Ball and found an ideal spot inside of a hollow tree. However, by setting up for the ball they unknowingly evict two chipmunks from their home. Together they figured out a compromise to keep their ball and accommodate the chipmunks. Having the opportunity to think about the chipmunks’ welfare made the ball more exciting, because it had a greater purpose. Thus, everyone was happy in the end.
Berrywood, Here We Come begins with Strawberry Shortcake telling her friends about the story of an old childhood friend, Limelight, who became a big movie star. When Strawberry Shortcake visits Limelight in Berrywood, she discovers that Limelight has let her fame get to her head. She thinks only of herself, and her attitude is hindering her ability to work. So, Strawberry and her friends show her a new perspective and teach her to be more considerate of other people’s feelings, which is what God expects of us.
