Woody and Buzz’s adventures continue in the third Toy Story movie when the toys once again lose their way from home. Andy has grown up and gone to college, so he is faced with a hard decision. What will he do with his old toys? He could throw them away, donate them to day care, or store them in the attic. Due to a horrible mix up the toys end up at the Sunnyside Daycare and must break out to return to Andy before he leaves for college.

Woody, the Sherrif

Woody is Andy’s favorite toy and the leader of the toys. Without him, they toys would be lost and hopeless. As referenced in Toy Story 2  he is a valuable antique that was passed down to Andy by his father. Unlike the other toys, Woody has serves multiple generations of childhoods. Andy chooses him to go with him to college while the other toys are chosen to go to the attic.

He a reminder of childhood innocence, and Andy misses him whenever he gets lost. No matter how bad the situation gets Woody always finds his way back to Andy to preserve the relationship of Andy’s innocent childhood. “Woody is no ordinary toy. He’s brave. But the thing that makes Woody special is he’ll never give up on you… ever.”

What does Jesus say about children and Heaven?

1. We all lose sight of our childhood innocence.

Matthew 18:10: “Beware that you don’t look down on any of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels are always in the presence of my heavenly Father.

2. Our sinful ways make us lose our childhood innocence and we separate ourselves from God.

Luke 18:17: I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.”

3. Jesus came to save our souls and preserve our childhood purity.

Luke 19:10: For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost

4. Jesus conquered death to save us from sin by sacrificing himself on the cross and rising to life again so that we can become like children again.

Romans 6:23: For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

5. In order to inherit the kingdom of Heaven, you must cleanse yourself from sin and become innocent like a child.

Luke 18:16b: “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children.
