WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS NOW (JACKIE de SHANNON)

"What the World Needs Now Is Love" is from 1965! A very popular song with lyrics by Hal David and music composed by Burt Bacharach. It was first recorded and made popular by Jackie DeShannon. It peaked at number seven on the US Hot 100 charts in July of that year. In Canada, the song reached number one.

The song contains the memorable lines:
"What the world needs now is love, sweet love
It's the only thing that there's just too little of..".

And this is so true!

As you listen to this song today may you ponder how to love others more. Today be the greatest lover the world needs to know!
Love is patient and kind.
Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude.
It does not demand its own way.
It is not irritable,
and it keeps no record of being wronged.
It does not rejoice about injustice
but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.
Love never gives up,
never loses faith,
is always hopeful,
and endures through every circumstance.
(1 Corinthians 13: 4-7 NLT)
